Permit Applications

Importers are advised that the MyGateway Portal is currently experiencing technical difficulties and unable to process any permits for the Department of Agriculture.

A permit is required from the Department of Agriculture prior to the importation of any plants, fruits, vegetables, cut flowers, seeds, straw, hay or plant products into the Bahamas. The PDF versions of the permit applications can be downloaded from the links below. You will need a PDF reader to complete the forms electronically. If you do not have a PDF reader, please print the forms and complete them manually.

Alternatively permit applications can be made through the Ministry of Agriculture & Marine Resources webpage.

Once the application has been completed, kindly print three (3) copies and submit to the Department of Agriculture's Office on Gladstone Road & Munnings Drive for payment, processing and approval.
